Sometimes, with a touch of art and a dash of paint!

Our History...
It all began with a teenage boy who decided to go to art school... The Art Institute of Pittsburgh to be exact. Upon graduating, Ray worked many years for Kaufmann's Department store in their photography department (gone by the time I graduated) photographing clothing, jewelry, home decor, and pretty much anything else the store sold. After that adventure he moved on to Action Industries where he continued to photograph much of the same before deciding to adventure into portrait photography. After getting more portrait classes under his belt, he started Viglione Photography in 1993, and quickly grew. I joined his studio in 1998 (straight out of graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh), and spent many years on and off again with the business while also working as a portrait and wedding photographer and retoucher for other companies. By 2000, he and I were photographing around 300+ seniors a year and working 60 hour weeks. In 2005, we made the decision to move the studio to our home in Murrysville where we would go on to get married and run the business for another 17 years together. From commercial to portrait, we were able to cover a vast variety of photography needs. Now, we've been married for over 18 years and have moved to a smaller home with more land on former farmland in Ligonier. Today, I continue to run the business, but age comes with changes, lol... I no longer photograph weddings, unless it's a small wedding under 6 hours and local. I no longer chase around bunnies with children...but I will still photograph kids, and I'm finding new adventures that will continue to reshape the business by offering mentoring to other aspiring photographers, businesses for their branding, my art, and other creative adventures that keep my designers brain churning.
